Upcoming Music: October 2017
October is all about changes happening around us. The weather is getting colder, and the drinks are getting warmer. As the season is changing, so is the music industry. Music has a way of changing as the weather does. It is becoming more meaningful, and not just about irrelevant topics that aren’t occurring in our lives. More artists are now starting to become more open about their thoughts and feeling, and in the process they are making great music.
Kelly Clarkson is releasing her most recent album, “Meaning of Life”, on October 27, 2017, by Atlantic Albums. Kelly is a singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame in 2002 after winning American Idol. She has sold over 25 million albums, and 36 million singles. She is a very successful artist, and is always coming up with new ways to express herself through her music, this new album is not different.
Niall Horan is releasing his first solo album, “Flicker”, on October 20, 2017. Niall says “I have been working on it since March 2016. It has been a year and a half in the making and it is finally time for people to hear it”. After leaving the boy band “One Direction”, Niall has been very successful in his solo career with the singles “This Town” and “Slow Hands”. He says that so far,“Flicker” means the most to him.
The American rapper, Gucci Mane, is working on his eleventh album “Mr. Davis”, which will be released October 13, 2017. The album will have appearances from Nicki Minaj, Monica, Chris Brown, Migos, The Weeknd, ASAP Rocky, Big Sean, Ty Dolla Sign, and some more. Gucci was a helper in the creation of “Trap Music”, alongside many other rappers. He has released dozens of mixtapes, and has worked alongside artists such as Drake, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, and Young Jeezy. While October is full of spooks and scares, the music is becoming more meaningful to the artists, and the fans.
