Upcoming Games: November 2016
It’s crunch time for game developers across the globe, meaning the release of the year’s most anticipated games. November is one of most bustling months of the gaming year and publishers are struggling to keep up with the high demand for bigger and better games. However, that doesn’t stop them from giving us, the gamers, exactly what we’ve been asking for.
The Sims 4: City Living – November 1st (PC)
From Willow Creek to Newcrest, your Sims have enjoyed the calm life of the suburbs, living it up in large, luxurious houses with perfect yards. Don’t you think it’s time they move somewhere a little… busier? Maybe to a beautiful city, tucked away against the mountains, with new experiences hidden around every corner? This new expansion is set in the diverse city of San Myshuno. Play some ball in the Spice District, head out after work for some good ol’ karaoke, or meet up with some friends and head to one of the festivals, a new feature in the City Living expansion. San Myshuno has an irresistible flavor that neither you nor your sims will be able to resist.
“It’s a vast city, built with impeccable precision”, DigitalTimes blogger, Autumn Kelly, quoted in her review of the expansion.
As seen in The Sims 2: Apartment Life, released in 2008, your sims can now live in their own unique apartments. Lot traits are a key change incorporated into the game. There are 26 new lot traits, including a lot info panel that lets you know whether your new apartment needs a little TLC or if the place has the romantic aura, perfect for your young bachelor and bachelorettes. As in every expansion, several new objects in build/buy mode and Create-A-Sim, will be available, along with new activities and three new career field options, these being politics, critics, and social media. Whether you plan on creating an eligible bachelor or a not so eligible slob, San Myshuno is sure to have the perfect place for your sims.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare: November 4th (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Call of Duty has been the most popular war-themed, first-person shooter game for 13 years and counting. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare brings us the same three game modes seen in every game: campaign, multiplayer and zombies. In campaign mode, players take form as Captain Reyes, a Tier 1 Special Operations pilot turned Commander. Players must take the remaining coalition forces against the enemy, while trying to overcome the deadly, extreme environments of space. Campaign gives us the same large-scale war roots that gives the franchise its identity, with a futuristic twist. Multiplayer allows players to compete against one another on new maps set in various locations in our solar system. It also provides gamers new gameplay innovations, delivering the future of warfare to our fingertips. The favorite gameplay mode of the majority of Call of Duty players, Zombies, allows players to go on a wild ride back in time to fight the undead in a 1980’s amusement park. The map includes multiple amusement rides, an arcade, and a funky, functioning rollercoaster. Of course, the map is completed with a rad 80’s soundtrack.
