Monday, October 21st, a devastating shooting happened at a middle school in Reno, Nevada. The shooter was a 12-year-old boy who was a student at Sparks Middle School.

The incident left two kids wounded, a teacher was killed, and the shooter died after a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Students said the teacher, “Michael Landsberry” who was a former Marine and a current National Guard soldier, tried to stop the incident. Students say he tried to convince the kid to put the gun down. The boy instead opened fire on the teacher who died at the scene. He then opened fire on a crowd of students near front door of the school. The shooter wounded two students, who were in stable condition as of that afternoon.

Nobody knows the true motive of the shooting. Students say he was always a nice and polite kid. Although he was a nice kid, he was also known to be bullied by other students in school. Students say that he was screaming, “Why are you people making fun of me. Why are you laughing at me?”

Michael Landsberry celebrated his wedding anniversary just this last Friday. He had a loving wife and two stepsons. Students said Michael was loving and caring. He was nice to students and wanted the best for every one of them.
