I interviewed Shardel Nelson she is one of Alliance High School’s secretaries. Mrs. Nelson has been married for 35 years and has 3 children; Zachary, Kelby (wife Ashley and grandson Jaxson), and Kaelia who sadly passed away in 2017. This is Mrs. Nelson’s 8th year of being a secretary. She was at Grandview for four and at the high school for four years. She said that if she wasn’t a secretary right now she would be doing one of three things: going around speaking about suicide, training people to help with Hope Squad, or helping her two sons with their business. She stated, “ I never thought I would become a secretary, but I was always around kids”. She got the position of secretary at Grandview then the position of secretary at AHS came available and she took it. Mrs. Nelson is one of the nicest people I know and I’m glad she is my secretary!
