Dr. Kloch

Dr. Kloch is a graduate of Alliance High School. She furthered her education at Hastings College where she got her undergraduate, in education. She later got her master’s at Chardon State Colleg and finished with her doctorate through Concordia Portland online campus. Dr. Kloch’s favorite part of teaching is getting to work with students excited about the subjects she teache, and who want to be in clas. She also loves getting to combine her creativity with her students to make something fabulous. The classes she teaches are both here and at the middle school. At the middle school, she teaches all three grades and at the high school, she teaches velocity, harmonics, theater tech, and voice lessons. She has been asking for years to a get voice lessons class and finely got one this year. The original plan for the PAC when it was built was to have a class for voice lessons but that idea was put on the back burner till this year and she is excited to finally get to teach it. Dr. Kloch stated that the reason for her becoming a teacher was because her mom was a teacher and that influenced her. She is very active in school-oriented activities. For instance, she works with 4-H kids ages 5 through 7, sings in church, is in charge of the adult choir at St. Johns Luthern Church and is part of the teachers’ honorary (PEO). At the PEO she is the current recording secretary, the PEO is a women’s organization that supports women’s education it also provides scholarships and grants. This organization helps women to further their education and gives out a scholar award to a nominated senior, they also provide personal loans that have less interest and are easier to pay off than a loan from a bank. Activities she does, that are directly related to school, would be helping direct the musical, directing speech and teaching choir. Dr. Kloch has been teaching for 20 years and 15 of those years have been here at Alliance High School. Let’s make her 16th year another good one.
