Let me paint a picture in your mind for a quick minute, as I tell you about Mrs. Brock. She has loved art since she was about 5 years old. Mrs. Brock went to Chadron State University and then the art institute of Colorado. There she received her bachelor’s degree in interior design. She later went back and attended Chadron State to get her teaching degree. She stayed in Denver, CO. Ten years before coming to Alliance. Mrs. Brock’s favorite art subject is sculpture because she likes to get messy and creative making new things out of clay. Originally she wanted to utilize her bachelor’s in interior design, but stated, “I think in my mind I always wanted to be an art teacher,” she continued by saying it’s her favorite job. Fun fact she once had a dream that she was hunting on the beach with her dad and a ginormous moose chased them and they had to hide behind a rock. With that, the picture has been painted.
