As the 2023-2024 school year came around the corner. Mr. Stein made the official decision to make senior parking spots official. Originally basing it off of ACT scores, to basing it off of first come first serve according to who pays first. Stating, “Whoever comes with the fifty dollars first gets to pick what spot they want.” You may be asking where the money goes? The money goes to the Principles Fund which helps fund gift cards for families that need extra help for meals, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Looking at the parking lot I noticed all the cool designs! Ranging from peoples Aesthetics to cartoons such as Bluey! I asked Kalli Bridge, who is a senior here at our highschool, what was the reason behind buying a parking spot? Kalli stated “I didn’t want to have to fight traffic and getting out plus I feel like it’s special that as a senior I can have something with my name on it and something that’s mine.”

When asking Kalli what inspired her design she stated,“I wanted something simple, not too hard, something that looked nice and clean, something that brought my personality out such as the colors. I also had helping hands with my friends, helping paint.”

As the year goes on many seniors plan to change their parking spot according to the holiday, such as Halloween coming right around the corner. As a senior I can not wait to see what the next year will bring when it comes to parking spots!
