Ms. Sydnie Hiemstra is one of two secretaries at Alliance High School. This is Ms. Hiemstra’s first year working at AHS. She accepted this position because she wanted to work and stay in Alliance.  She says that the best thing about her job is working and getting to know all the students.

The daily duties of being a secretary is opening up the office, making coffee for the teachers, checking students in and out, and paperwork. A bonus of working at Alliance High School is Ms. Hiemstra works with her mother, Mrs. Angie Hiemstra, our Physical Education teacher. Ms. Hiemstra enjoys this because “It feels the same as high school, she was always here.”

Ms. Hiemstra was born in 1995 and raised in Alliance. She is an Alliance High School graduate, class of 2013. She attended Chadron State College and studied education. Ms. Hiemstra’s hobbies outside of school are reading and attending the sporting events to watch her little brother, Mason, play and to watch her mother coach.
