There was excitement in Europe, the 2013 European Music Awards were celebrated in one of Europe’s famous cities, Amsterdam, Netherlands on November 10^th .

All the celebrities, singers and special guests arrived looking fabulous walking and posing for pictures on the red carpet, and the show started of with some of the artists performing on stage to the top songs of the year. The crowd  sang along to the songs, and were dancing and jumping to the music. The presenters for the night would then give out all of the different awards to the winners.

Some of the awards the gave out were for best song, Bruno Mars – “Locked out of Heaven”, best video went to Miley Cyrus- “Wreaking Ball”, best new artist  Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, best female artist was Katy Perry and best male artist was Justin Bieber.

The evening took a scandalous turn when Miley Cyrus received an award and her response wasn’t very appropriate. She opened her small purse and took out a marijuana cigar, lit it on stage, and smoked a joint. The crowd was amazed, some cheered her on but others didn’t really like her antics.

Overall the night turned out to be a great success and everyone finished the night very happy. The celebrities were very thankful for having millions of their fans out there supporting them.

The next EMA’s will be taking place in Glasgow, Scotland. Even though a year has to go by, everyone is already excited to see the new songs the artists will release  and the next best performances.
