AHS Art Club
The Alliance High Art Club features a few of the AHS students coloring, drawing, painting, and most important, just having fun and enjoying the pleasure of art with everyone.
At the moment, the Alliance Art Club has about nine students and one art teacher, Mrs. Underwood. The nine art students are Matt Ellis, Marina Frisch, Sam Burtis, Heather Larson, Sierra Armstrong, Grace Dailey, Chris Wright, Dan Salais, and myself. I love being in art club and having fun.
We are currently painting the wall on the corner of 4th and Box Butte, right across the street from the Newberry. The theme is western Nebraska, which includes cattle, sand hills, and a BNSF train coming out of the sand hills. So far it is looking great, and a lot of hard work is being put into it. We usually paint about two hours every other day depending on the weather. Mrs. Underwood said, “My art club students are doing a great job on the mural. They have been working hard and also have been working in cold weather. I’m very impressed with them. We are waiting on some warmer days to finish it.”
Art is beautiful and inspiring and without it the world would be boring and dull. We help each other out, and work extra hard and in the end it always turns out to be an excellent piece of work.
