Mr.Pla is one of the Spanish teachers at Alliance High School. He teaches Spanish I and Spanish IV, and he says that it’s really easy for him to teach Spanish here, in America.

He was born in Valencia, Spain and graduated high school in 1991. He went to Valencia University and then moved to the United States where he attended several other colleges, like, CSC Chadron State College UNK (University of Nebraska), Kearney, University of Iowa and Northern University.

He moved to the United States because his current wife, Elizabeth Anderson, is from Nebraska and they met in Spain. They got married and after a few years moved to Alliance. They have been living here for 8 years and have a sixteen-month old baby.

Mr.Pla used to be a policeman in Spain but then he started teaching Spanish, he’s been teaching at AHS for four years. His hobbies are studying his higher college degree, doing sports and looking after Lucas.

He says that Spanish is very hard for the Americans to learn however he likes all of his classes and his favorite thing about teaching is interacting with his students and being with them.

Mr.Pla would love to go back to Spain when he retires and recommends students to take Spanish because they are going to study a language that is really necessary in the U.S and it’s very interesting to learn another culture.
