2008 Alliance High School graduate, Kayla Batt, is the current title holder of Miss Nebraska. She will be competing for the title of Miss America 2012 on Saturday January 14 from the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino live in Las Vegas which will be broadcast live on ABC. And now the Alliance community can show their Bulldog and Nebraska pride by one of the two voting processes. One is to vote for her at http://missamerica.org/videocontest/ or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/MissAmericaOrganization. Administrators will then verify your vote. Once your vote has been verified, it will be counted toward the contestant. Voters will not be able to change their vote after it has been cast. The Miss America contestant who receives the highest number of eligible votes will be chosen to participate as a finalist in the Miss America Pageant. The winning contestant will later be announced as Miss America.
