Bomb at Cairo University

             On Wednesday, a group of news reporters captured two subsequent explosions on video. The first was near the campus of Cairo University. After the first explosion, the news reporters had started recording. Moments later,  the second bomb went off. There are at least two reported dead.  Several police generals and others are wounded.

The bombings were the latest from the attacks targeting Islamists. The last bombs were last summer. All of the bombs were relatively close. These areas were encountered with a new tactic. The first bombs were in the open, at the bottom of a tree. Both bombs were set for less than a minute apart. The third one was located close, but went off nearly two hours later.

 

The officials say that nobody was harmed after the second one. The Egyptians stated, “The bombs are crude and seem to be homemade. The universities have been a target for a while.

 

The campus will be closed down for a day or two.  They will clean the debris off of the ground as best as they can.  There are metal scraps, tree limbs, scattered around.

 

Egypt has seen several different suicide bombings, car bombings and assassination bombings targeting the security force. There has been a group of people that has taken responsibility for past bombings. q

 

They will continue to investigate who will take action for these bombings.
