What appears to be popular also seems to be distinct among certain stories, but when a similar direction towards American news is changed, people appear to only pay attention to what is current and popular. Gang violence erupts once more in Chicago, a place where the majorities of American people originally fail to understand, or come to realize the horrible atrocities plagued there. The city pleads for help, but hardly a thing is heard about the violence and corruption handled there. Countless people have a devastating life style that they have to go through everyday just to stay alive. The people who do understand the tragedies want to help, but incidents that arise are haunting and troubling to a point where some find it difficult to deal with. People need to recognize everything that is both frightening and depressing in Chicago, because the more who understand, the better the result is for the city.

Just recently, on September 20^th, 2013, another disturbing shooting occurred. Thirteen people were injured, including a toddler. Violent shootings happen almost weekly in Chicago, and there is never a simple day that is close to safe.  Safety is important, but when everybody is forced to live carefully, his or her lifestyle is guaranteed barbaric.

Positive programs are being invented to help innocent students make their way safely to school. There is no possible way of ending the crooked violence, at least not anytime soon. Some are focused within the terrible lifestyle. Others are focused on creating peace, the most difficult objective possible.  Many people attempt to end the bloodshed, but a dangerous task like that is nearly impossible. In infested gang neighborhoods, most children, specifically teenagers, are forced to carry weapons just to protect themselves. Another example late Thursday night, September 19^th 2013, Chicago became a spotlight for gang violence once more. Ten adults and one child were shot.

Also, the weekend of September 20^th through the 23^rd, at least twenty-five random people were shot and five were killed. One man was shot in the abdomen because of a pointless argument over a certain parking spot. Another victim was a chicken delivery driver, and he was shot in the hip apparently for no reason whatsoever. People are shot and killed everyday, fighting a terrible ongoing process.

 Chicago leaders and NBA star, Isiah Thomas, have come together to work on a way to prevent gang violence. Rival gangs have begun to play each other in enjoyable games of basketball, a nonviolent way to deal with some of the situations.

If people understood the disturbing lifestyle of people from Chicago, then maybe it could receive better help. The city needs help and the best way for Chicago to accept help is for people to recognize and understand what is occurring there. Everybody lives in a difficult environment, mainly the children, who are raised in chaos and have a dissatisfying hunger for mayhem. These people were born innocent, and they became something dangerous. Some of them put effort into desperately coming together. After major events like the Trayvon Martin case, the people in Chicago began to come together, and because of certain main events, they are slowly on the growth of becoming a better and more peaceful city, and some know that significant change is needed.
