November is packed full of a variety of movies. From movies that will make you jump and run into bed after you turn off the lights to a movie great for a family night out. This month will not disappoint.

Interstellar – November 7

Starring award winning actors, Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine and many others, Interstellar is a sci-fi film about an interstellar voyage to the edge of our scientific understanding. A group of explorers travel through a wormhole and into another dimension. This film will explore mind-bending hypotheses, and some that even Albert Einstein chased, but never proved.

Big Hero 6 – November 7

From the makers of Frozen and Wreck-it Ralph, Big Hero 6 is a heart-warming film about Hiro Hamada, a robotics prodigy and Baymax, a self-created robot. They soon discover a dangerous plot unfolding the streets of their city, San Fransokyo. Soon Hiro, Baymax and his friends turn into a high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 – November 21

The fans of The Hunger Games have patiently waited for the first part of the last book of the trilogy to come out, and now here it is. Mockingjay will be in theatres the 21 of the month. The entire cast from the previous movies is returning, plus some new faces. Katniss has survived two Hunger Games, but this is entirely different. The rebellion is now and Katniss accepts the role of the Mockingjay, the face of the rebellion. The Capitol has taken it to the next level when it comes to making things personal, how will she react? Will she be able to pull off the rebellion? This movie has some big shoes to fill; I have high hopes for it and expect nothing less than a phenomenal movie!

Horrible Bosses 2 – November 26

The sequel to Horrible Bosses follows the same three friends with a distain for higher-ups. This time instead of trying to kill each other’s bosses, it’s time to make themselves the boss. Soon their plan fails due to a slick investor who pulls the rug out from under them. Desperate times calls for desperate measures, and these three get caught in yet another pickle.

Babadook – November 28

Trauma struck Amelia (Essie Davis) six years ago, when her husband died. Now she struggles to discipline her crazy six year-old, Samuel, who she finds impossible to love. Samuel believes that a monster in his dreams is coming to kill them both. A dark storybook called “The Babadook” appears in their house, and Samuel is convinced that the Babadook is the monster he’s been dreaming about. Amelia is frightened by her son’s dark behavior when he becomes more violent and unpredictable, so she has no other choice but to medicate him. Soon Amelia begins to see hints of a disturbing presence around her. She then realizes that her son’s warnings might have been real.

The penguins you see in Madagascar, finally got their own story. The Penguins of Madagascar tells about how this odd group of four found their way to each other. This would be a great movie to take the family! Also, a drama called Beyond the Lights about a superstar, Noni, who loses her voice and gets drown in the fame. The pressure nearly causes her to end her life, but everything changed when she meets Kaz.
