Blood Drive

Blood+Drive

Emma Machado

Blood donation is a selfless act that can save lives and make a significant positive impact on the community. Donated blood is used for a variety of medical procedures, including transfusions for individuals undergoing surgery or chemotherapy, treatment for patients with blood disorders or anemia, and emergency care for individuals involved in accidents or natural disasters. Additionally, regular blood donations can help to replenish the blood supply, which is essential for meeting the needs of patients in need of blood transfusions. Blood donation is a simple and relatively painless process that provides a tremendous benefit to those in need, making it an excellent way to give back and help others.

The student council here at Alliance High School are hosting a blood drive for whomever would like to donate blood. You have to be 16 or older, and have parent permission to be able to draw a pint of blood. I myself have decided that I would love to donate blood for the purpose of helping another who needs it. Not everyone has to do it, it is all volunteer!
