With just weeks left in 2016, we have few games making their grand debut. However, the few that are are fighting for their chance to be the most memorable game of 2016. This month, game developers are giving us our money’s worth, bringing supernatural creatures to life and extreme sports fun to our screens.

Steep (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – December 2nd

Glide into the Alps, where the white powder is always fresh and the adrenaline rush never ends. Steep is an open-world simulation game that allows players to choose between four unique ways to transverse the mountain, such as snowboarding, skiing, paragliding, and wingsuit flying. Go solo or grab some friends and drop side by side into the open world. Rip through the snowy terrain and defy and master the most epic obstacles. Record and share your stunts, then send them to friends and dare them to top that. Steep includes a variety of challenges designed for each of the sports that players can take on. The mountains are yours to explore, so strap in, suit up, drop in, and get ready to crown yourself the ruler of the mountains.

Werewolves Within (HTC Vive, PSVR, Oculus Rift) – December 6

Game night comes to virtual reality gamers! After several werewolf attacks on the medieval village of Gallowstown, the locals have had enough. Using their handy guidebook, players are handed the task of eliminating any, and all werewolves, disguised in the village. Players are randomly assigned roles at the beginning of each game, giving the players abilities specific to that role. Each night in the game, when the villagers go to sleep, the werewolves choose one player to murder. This means that player is out of the game. The next day, the village wakes up to find one of their own has been killed. The villagers can accuse another player of being a werewolf by nominating them for death. During this time, the werewolf players can also nominate and try to throw the villagers off their scent. The game continues until all the werewolves are slain or there are more werewolves than villagers. Werewolves Within keeps players on their toes and gives them hours of gameplay by ensuring that no game is like the last.

Dead Rising 4 (PC and Xbox One) – December 6

‘Tis the season to slay some zombies! Dead Rising 4 is an open world survival horror action-adventure game, where players take action, as retired photojournalist, Frank West. Frank returns to Colorado for the most deadly holiday vacation anyone has ever heard of. Frank is to investigate an outbreak that has overrun the town of Willamette with deadly, dangerous predators. Dead Rising fans can expect the fourth entry of the wacky zombie killing simulation game to be better than previous installments of the series. Dead Rising 4 now puts a greater emphasis on your hit combo, but like other action games. After achieving a certain number of hits, you’ll be able to initiate a special attack. The developers of Dead Rising 4 have made it their goal to keep the game just as silly as the previous installments of the game, creating the perfect present for humorous gamers.
