The Fray has been one of the most universally loved bands of the 2000’s. Their first two albums ‘How to Save a Life’ and ‘The Fray’ were both huge successes and featured songs which would become iconic. Some bands release an album nearly every year, so when a band waits several years between releases there is a lot more pressure on the artist. ‘Scars and Stories’, The Fray’s newest release, will surely not disappoint fans.
The album has a very ‘struggles of common man’ sort of feeling. The earnest lyrics are perhaps the best of The Fray yet. This is not an album to be skimmed through. There is so much feeling packed into twelve songs that each new listening may produce something new. The band continues to mature with each album, and this is the natural next step for a great band quickly on the rise.
