On the weekend of November 1, 2014, choir teacher, Christina Kloch, took two choirs to the Old West Fest 2014. The festival was held in the Scottsbluff High School auditorium. Harmonics is a group composed of twenty-three students, both boys and girls. Velocity is a show choir group composed of all girls and has twenty-four members.

Velocity’s three songs for their set included “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”, “Call Your Girlfriend”, and a mash up of “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “One Way or Another”. Velocity performed at 1:30. Harmonics’ four songs for the show included “Do You Hear The People Sing”, “Blackbird”, “Counting Stars”, and “Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life”. Harmonics performed at 2 o’clock. Velocity and Harmonics were in Class AAA, along with Gering. Velocity received bronze, while Harmonics received silver.
